PUIS’ introductory course is composed of two levels: I and II.

Level I:

4 Classes (4 hours each class/ 16 hours total)
The student will learn about the Primary Unconscious Integrated System (PUIS) as a source of information in the constitution, formation and rebalancing of the human being. The following will also be explored: learning to see PUIS as spiritual unconscious, the first to be constituted prior to birth; the importance and influence of the impressions and accumulated spiritual memories which constitute PUIS in the human being; the difference between the traditionally described unconscious as treated by the various scientific psychological modalities and the primary unconscious; conscious reactions due to the influence of the unconscious and of the primary unconscious; and the difference between PUIS theory and Carl Jung’s collective unconscious.

Level II:

Theory and Practice of Each Element
Hours of Instruction: 10 Classes/40 Hours
The four elements will be addressed at this level: Fire (Libido), Earth (Reality), Water (Emotions), and Air (Expansion) and the four qualities or Elemental Forces/Orixas of each element, under the light of the knowledge of PUIS’ theory, thus building a correlation between psychology and spirituality in everyday life.

Prerequisites: Certification of Introduction Levels I and II
Hours of Instruction: 40 hours

The objective of this course is to broaden the comprehension of depression as it relates to its origin, whether its roots are psychological or spiritual, according to the theory of PUIS.
• The lack of balance of an Elemental Force may be the cause of depression
• The symptoms of each Elemental Force in imbalance
• Possible treatments (psychological and spiritual)

Hours of Instruction – 16 hours
This course has as objective the deepening of the appreciation of the arts in its three levels of comprehension: psychological (projections), energetic (movement), and spiritual (plane and dimension). The influence, positive or not, of a piece of art in an environment or in a life. What is being acquired: the work of art or the negative influence of its author? These classes are based on the reading of the elements and Elemental Forces in the arts. In the practical classes the students will create a work of art to better their comprehension of the theoretical class.

Hours of Instruction- 4 Classes, 3 hours per class, 12 hours total
The objective of this course is to awaken the sacred in each one of us through the expression of free movement. Each class is dedicated to an element (fire, earth, water, and air) and their corresponding qualities.
The student will have the opportunity to explore the essence of the elements through her or his free expression in dance.
The Sacred Dance tells a story without words! It is to leave one to find oneself! It is to follow freedom without question… and to resonate within one’s silence.

Feng Shui is considered an art, a Chinese philosophy employed to harmonize the space.
The course aims at elevating such harmonization to the spiritual dimension. Consecrated objects representing the Elements of Fire, Earth, Water, and Air are strategically placed in the different rooms of the home, for instance, with the goal of transforming the energetic harmonization into the spiritual harmonization of the environment.

This course is open to all. There are four classes, lasting three hours each.

Personal Development accomplished through interventions based on the PUIS system is deeper and more encompassing. It is not possible to personally develop when only its psychological aspect is considered. There are other aspects which constitute the human being, for instance: spiritual, energetic, vibratory, and mediumnic.
Personal Development may be realized in group or individually.

Individual or group work – 2 Hours

Theater is utilized as a technique, either in group or in individual sessions, for treating cases of anxiety and hyperactivity in a pleasurable manner. Based on the movements of Tai Chi Chuan, its objective is to align accelerated thought with the slow movements of the body. Stories are told through harmonious slow movement where the only background is the imagination. Music forms the base as a vehicle to inspire the corporal expression. A few stories were written in order to guide this work. These stories become theatrical pieces and are presented to the general public, among which are: A Love Story, Sons of the Earth, and A Fairytale.

All rituals are used to change a state of consciousness in relation to the logical world, in order to disorganize or strengthen whatever is already in place or whatever is being formed.

According to the the Afro-Brazilian tradition, or more specifically, the Xirê Guaracyano, a ritual uses certain combination of forces and energies of the elements and their vibrational and spiritual qualities as essential conductors/pathways between the physical plane and the plane of light of the objects, symbols and representations.

There are various types of rituals, such as the consecration, the “sacudimentos”, the “assentamentos”, the energetic baths, outdoor rituals, amongst others.
We can say that a ritual is a vehicle that takes us to the enchantment of the spiritual universe. All one needs is to know how to drive this vehicle.

The Vivencias are important experiences to have a greater understanding of the coursework. The objective of the Vivencia is to give the participant deeper knowledge and practical experience in both the psychological as well as the spiritual dimension.
Two types of Vivencias are offered:
Experiential Vivencia
Psychotherapeutic: (individual or group) this has the objective for psychological balance.
Spiritual: (specific rituals based in the Afro Brazilian tradition)
This has the objective to sedimentation the theoretical knowledge into spiritual wisdom.
External Vivencias (10 days)
These are experiential Vivencias of 10 days in Mataganza, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Mataganza is a sacred place in a tropical forest reserve.
The objective of this Vivencia is to offer the students of PUIS a possibility of understanding the rituals related to the Elements: Fire, Earth, Water and Air.

Students who are interested in this class should have taken all prerequisite classes to initiate the teacher trainings. Future teachers choose a specialized area of study for their certification as a teacher.
